The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the examination schedule for Class 10 and 12 students appearing for the 2025 board exams. According to the date sheet, the exams will commence on February 15, 2025. Students are now rigorously preparing for these crucial exams. However, relying solely on NCERT textbooks may not guarantee exceptional marks. It is equally important for Class 10 and 12 students to practice multiple sample papers and review previous years’ question papers. These resources provide valuable insights into the exam pattern and help students anticipate the types of questions they might face in the actual board exam.
Importance of previous years’ question papers
Why is it important for students to practice previous years’ question papers? Attempting these papers helps students analyze how the board has structured questions in the past. It provides a clear idea of the recurring patterns and the level of difficulty, enabling students to prepare more effectively. Additionally, solving these papers serves as a rehearsal for the actual exam, improving time management skills and identifying areas where students excel or need improvement.
Practicing previous years’ question papers also boosts confidence by familiarizing students with the exam format. It reduces exam-day anxiety as students feel more prepared for the challenges ahead. Furthermore, it enhances problem-solving abilities, allowing students to strategize better while answering questions. By simulating the real exam environment, this practice ensures students are well-equipped to tackle the board exams confidently and achieve their desired results.
