The incident occurred on the first ball of the 17th over when Tanzim dismissed Pakistan all-rounder. Mohammad NawazIt was a clever slower delivery, and Nawaz was completely deceived, offering an easy catch to short third man.
After the catch was taken, Tanzim exchanged words with Nawaz, and as they approached each other, the Pakistan star appeared to initiate a shoulder bump with Tanzim.
The two players began arguing, leading to a heated altercation, with Tanzim pointing towards the dressing room. Nawaz appeared visibly frustrated, but other players stepped in to separate them and prevent further escalation.
Earlier in the season, Tanzim had also been involved in a minor scuffle with Towhid Hridoy and had been part of some banter at the international level as well.
