New Delhi: Playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya is a famous singer of Bollywood. He sang many hit songs for Shahrukh Khan’s films. People started calling him the voice of a superstar. After years, he has come into limelight due to one of his controversial statements. Singer has created a ruckus by giving his statement on Mahatma Gandhi, whom the entire country addresses as the Father of the Nation. His contribution in laying the foundation of independent India is huge.

People are opposing Abhijit Bhattacharya’s statement on Mahatma Gandhi. He told Shubhankar Mishra on a podcast, ‘Composer RD Burman was greater than Mahatma Gandhi. Just as Mahatma Gandhi was the Father of the Nation, similarly RD Burman was the Father of the Nation in the world of music. Singer did not remain silent here either. He made a scathing attack on Mahatma Gandhi. Describing him as the Father of the Nation of Pakistan, Singer said, ‘Mahatma Gandhi was the Father of the Nation of Pakistan, not of India. India already existed, Pakistan was formed later by separating from India. Mahatma Gandhi has been mistakenly called the Father of the Nation of India. He was responsible for the existence of Pakistan.

RD Burman was launched by Abhijit Bhattacharya in a Bengali film, in which he got a chance to sing with Asha Bhosle. In the initial phase of his career, he did stage shows as a singer with RD Burman. He has sung songs for Bollywood stars like Mithun Chakraborty, Vijay Anand, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Akshay Khanna, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Ajay Devgan, Hrithik Roshan . The singer has sung popular songs like ‘Vaada Raha Sanam’, ‘Khud Ko Kya Samjhti Hai’, ‘Kya Khabar Thi Jaana’. He gave many big hits in the 90s.
