Hyderabad: Pushpa-2 star Allu Arjun got bail immediately after judicial custody. Despite this he had to spend a night in jail. Telangana High Court on Friday granted interim bail for four weeks to Allu Arjun in the case of death of a woman during the premiere of the film ‘Pushpa 2- The Rule’. Earlier in the day, a Hyderabad court had ordered Allu Arjun to be sent to judicial custody for 14 days. His team made a lot of efforts to ensure that Allu Arjun does not have to spend the night in jail. Immediately after judicial custody approached the High Court. Interim bail was also granted in a hurry. Despite this, Allu Arjun had to spend one night i.e. Friday night in jail.

Now the question is that when Telangana High Court granted interim bail on Friday itself. Then why did Allu Arjun have to spend Friday night in jail? The reason for this is that the jail authorities could not get the copy of the bail till late Friday night. If sources are to be believed, even if a copy of the bail bond had been received, it would have had to be examined first. In such a situation, release on Friday was not possible. In such a situation, now Allu Arjun will be able to come out of jail today i.e. Saturday morning only. His lawyer claims that he will come out of jail at eight in the morning. Earlier in the day, the High Court had granted interim bail to actor Allu Arjun and directed him to cooperate with the authorities in the investigation of the case.

Allu Arjun’s first night in jail
According to jail sources, Allu Arjun was seen waiting for his release since Friday evening. Somehow he had to spend Friday night in jail. He was given dinner as per the jail manual. He was given a bed and pillow. Sources said that he appeared a little restless throughout the night. He was sometimes seen walking and sometimes changing sides in his barrack. It seemed from his expression that he was eagerly waiting for release. He did not even eat food properly. He remained awake till late night. However, there was a gathering of his fans outside the jail.

Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad Police on Friday in connection with the death of a woman during the premiere of the film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’. After this Allu Arjun was presented in the court. There he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Under the order, he was sent to Chanchalguda jail amid tight security arrangements. Why did Allu Arjun go to the High Court?
On December 11, Allu Arjun had approached the Telangana High Court requesting to quash the FIR registered against him in connection with the woman’s death. Soon after the local court sent Arjun to judicial custody on Friday, the High Court granted him four weeks’ interim bail and postponed the next hearing of the case to January 21, 2025.

Husband of the deceased ready to withdraw the case
At the same time, the husband of the woman who lost her life in the stampede said on Friday that the film’s actor Allu Arjun is not at fault in this. He does not hold the actor responsible for this tragedy. The woman’s husband Bhaskar said that he is ‘ready to withdraw’ the case he had filed in connection with the incident. He told reporters, ‘It was not wrong for Allu Arjun to reach the cinema hall. I am ready to withdraw my case.
