Iran-Israel War: Iran successfully launched its heaviest space payload into space amid ongoing tensions with Israel in the Middle East. The payload is said to be 300 kg, which includes telecommunication satellite and Saman-1 space tug. This step of Iran has increased the tension between America and Israel.
Increased tension between American and European countries
Iran has launched this payload at a time when the US and European countries have claimed that Iran is handing over ballistic missiles to Russia, which will probably be used in the war with Ukraine within a few weeks. Although Iran has denied this. Iran says its space program, like its nuclear activities, is for civilian purposes. There has been no official confirmation yet whether the satellite launched by Iran was successful or not.
Satellite launched amid tension with Israel
America has said many times that Iran can use those launches as nuclear. At present, Iran’s tension with America and Israel is at its peak, due to this the timing of the launch is being considered special. In January 2024, Iran said that it had launched three satellites simultaneously for the first time using the Simorgh rocket.
Russia had launched 55 satellites in November 2024, of which two satellites, Kosvar and Hodhod, were made by Iran. This reflects the deepening political, economic and military relations between the two countries. America had warned Iran not to do any activity related to ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons, yet Iran has launched this satellite.
