The makers had first chosen Vinash Wadhawan for the film Deewana. In Siddharth Kanan’s interview, Avinash Wadhawan had told that he did not have a free date. After getting the offer from Deewana, he called his secretary and she said that he cannot sign any new film right now. After this Shahrukh was cast in the movie.

Shahrukh has not seen Deewana till date
